TST appoints former Amey director as chairman TST, a rail sector leader in telecoms and safety critical services, has appointed one of the industry’s best-known railway infrastructure executives as Chairman. Kevin Schofield has joined the Cardiff-based company after a 37-career in the rail infrastructure supply industry having had a successful career in signalling and telecommunications. His most recent role was Service Director for Amey Infrastructure services. With an annual turnover of over £2m, TST has been one of the fastest-growing specialists since it was established just four years ago by a group of former British Rail managers and engineers. Having amassed more than over 25 years’ knowledge of the railway environment, TST has been responsible for telecom, electrical, facilities managements and safety critical infrastructure systems throughout the UK. Managing Director Philip Owen said, “The business is entering a more demanding phase of growth and in order to develop the opportunities the company set out earlier this year to secure a non-executive chairman. “Kevin Schofield is one of the most respected professionals in our industry, so clearly to have secured his services is a very important outcome for our company.” Kevin added, “The skills and talents within TST are quite exceptional; and I see opportunities to help grow this business substantially in the coming years.
